1. Who we are

2. What data the extensions access
When a recruiter clicks the extension icon on a social media profile page, the extension reads the following publicly visible content from that page:
- Profile handle and display name
- Bio text
- Follower and following counts
- Visible post captions and image description text
This content is already publicly visible to anyone viewing the profile. The extensions do not access private messages, non-public posts, account credentials, payment information, or any data not visible on the public profile page.
3. How that data is used
Profile text read from the page is sent to a secure proxy server (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) which forwards it to the Anthropic API. The API analyzes the text and returns a structured response containing a fit score and signal analysis. This response is displayed to the recruiter inside the extension popup.
Profile text is used solely to generate the analysis for that session. It is not stored, indexed, logged, or used for any other purpose.
4. What data is stored locally
The extensions store the following in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API. This data never leaves your device except as described above:
- Your Anthropic API key
- Your Cloudflare Worker proxy URL
- Your company name and hiring city
- Your role pitch and DM tone preference
5. Third-party services
Anthropic API — Processes profile text and returns the fit score analysis. Profile text sent to Anthropic is subject to their data handling policies. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy
Cloudflare Workers — Acts as a CORS proxy to relay requests between the extension and the Anthropic API. The Worker does not log or store profile content. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
6. What data is NOT collected
Talent Upstream does not collect, store, sell, or share:
- Personal information about recruiters using the extensions
- Browsing history or activity outside the active profile page
- Private or non-public social media content
- Cookies or tracking identifiers
- Any data for advertising purposes
- Any data about individuals whose profiles are analyzed
7. Data retention
Profile text read from social media pages is not retained after the analysis is returned. Each session is stateless — no profile data persists after the popup is closed. Settings stored locally remain until you uninstall the extension or clear Chrome's local storage.
8. Children's privacy
These extensions are intended for professional recruiting use by adults. They are not directed at individuals under 18 years of age and do not knowingly process data related to minors.
9. Your rights
Because Talent Upstream does not collect or store personal data on its own servers, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. For data processed by Anthropic, please refer to Anthropic's privacy policy and their data subject request process.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extensions after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
